After graduating from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, my teaching career began at Jones Elementary School.  At this time, I was given an opportunity to teach a split third and fourth grade for the second semester of a school term.  The following year I was fortunate to be hired at Hillsboro Elementary School.  I taught third grade for three years and Title I Reading for one year. The next thirty-two years I enjoyed teaching the fifth grade at Hillsboro.  The 2014-2017 school terms I served the role of Interventionist.  This 2017-2018 school year, I am teaching second grade.

I have lived in Hillsboro most of my life.  My parents, Fred and Louise Willis, raised six children on a farm south of Hillsboro in the Thompson Hall Community. My siblings are Jeanne Bell, Bobbie Myers, Charles Willis, Brent Willis, and Angie Banks.  I am a graduate of Hillsboro Elementary School, Coffee County Junior High School (Coffee County Middle School), Coffee County Central High School, and the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.

Presently, I live on a farm in Hillsboro with my husband, Joe Keele.  We have two children, Wesley and Maggie.  Wesley is a veterinary in Knoxville, Tennessee, and is married to Margaret who is a physical therapist.  They are parents to twins, Ellie and Jackson.  Maggie is married to Michael Millraney, and they reside in Hillsboro.  Michael is the manager of Duck River Electric in Manchester, and Maggie is a speech pathologist.  The lastest addition to our family is Allie Rose Millraney, born August 30th.  My life is my family and teaching, and I am truly blessed.
